Clarification from the graduates of the class of 2023 at Rafic Hariri High School regarding what happened in Al-Hilalia this evening
The graduates of the class of 2023 at Rafic Hariri High School in Sidon denied that any of the students of the batch were injured in the explosion of the explosive in Al-Hilaliyeh this Monday evening, or that they or their school had anything to do with the firecrackers that were launched because it was not included in the program to celebrate the end of the academic year, any firing of firecrackers Fireworks.
An explanatory statement circulated by the students of the batch stated:
“We are graduates of the class of 2023 at Rafic Hariri High School, and to celebrate the end of the school year, we took a car tour that roamed some of the streets of Sidon, and we concluded it with a celebration in Al-Hilaliya in front of Ajeen restaurant … but we were surprised by people firing firecrackers in the place, although this was not included in our celebration program.
And what happened was that while they were lighting the explosives, one of them exploded at its launch platform, causing injuries, including two employees of the “security” company who were in charge of securing the celebration.
In view of the incorrect news that was reported regarding this incident, it is important for us to categorically deny the occurrence of any injuries among the students of Rafic Hariri High School, or that the students of the class or their school have anything to do with the firing of these explosives, so clarification was required.
We wish the injured a speedy recovery and safety for all.”
