Yesterday, with four votes in favor in the Plenary of the CJF, the documentation required by the Senate to issue the calls was approved.

The lists provided include the number of active judges and magistrates, the number of vacant positions and how many have scheduled resignations and retirements, as well as positions in the Judiciary that will be voted on in 2025 and 2027.

With this decision, the senators will be able to carry out the Judiciary “raffle” next Saturday, October 12.

At 09:00 in the morning, the Senate Board of Directors will carry out the insaculation of the charges for the election of June 1, 2024.

After the raffle, the Senate may issue the call for the election of judges, magistrates and ministers.

Once the call is issued, evaluation committees will be formed to evaluate the profiles and requirements for the positions.

They will be put to the vote of the Electoral Court, the ministers of the SCJN and all the members of the new Judicial Disciplinary Court.
