Civil patrol accelerated to 210 km/h, test driver’s license holder was even faster

A civil patrol became aware of the worrying behavior of a motorist on Friday around 3 p.m. on the A1 in the direction of Salzburg in the municipality of Ansfelden. The car drove extremely close to the patrol vehicle and then started a risky overtaking maneuver from the right.

The police officers chased the car, which suddenly accelerated sharply. Despite a speed of 210 km/h, the service vehicle might not catch up with the car because it continued to increase in speed. The ruthless escape finally ended when the car was stopped by other police officers at a breakneck speed of 190 km/h.

The driver was a 21-year-old probationary license holder who lives in Vienna. His father (50) was sitting in the passenger seat. The driver was repeatedly reported to the Linz-Land and Wels-Land district authorities.
