According to Brazilian media Globe, the City Football Group would have made an offer of 180 million euros in order to acquire theAtletico Mineiro, recently crowned champion of Brazil for the second time in its history. The offer was rejected by the leaders of the Minais Gerais club, who would ask for double this amount to sell Atlético.
However, the CFG would not have given up and would remain determined to acquire the club where the former star of Zenit Saint Petersburg and Seleçao, Hulk, still plays. It would be the eleventh club in the City Football galaxy, and the second on the South American continent following Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay).
