Citlalli Hernández will be the head of the Women’s Secretariat: Claudia Sheinbaum

MEXICO CITY.- Claudia Sheinbaumpresident-elect, announced Citlalli Hernandez as head of the Women’s Secretariat for her government 2024-2030. The senator y general secretary of Morena will take office on October 1.

Citlalli Hernández is 34 years old and has a degree in Communication with a specialization in journalism from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at UNAM.

In his presentation he said that he will accompany the Public Care System and the agricultural newspapersas well as the women of the maquila in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.

“We will go to the territory to bring to every woman in this country a women’s rights booklet and we will contribute to the construction of peace and the fight to prevent and address gender violence from below, from the towns, the colonies, the neighborhoods, the communities, hand in hand with all women,” she said.

He said that the creation of the Women’s Secretariat will allow keep promises what Sheinbaum Pardo did in campaign.

“I am aware of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum’s commitment to the women of Mexico, and I know that this Secretariat for Women of the Mexican government that is being announced today will allow the objectives that she has already set out in her campaign to materialize in a cross-cutting gender vision. I take on the task, doctor, of not leaving any woman helpless in the face of inequality, injustice and violence,” she said.
