Citizens sign contracts to buy housing units north of Riyadh… and after two years, the surprise was! • Al Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ekhbariya channel broadcast a television report revealing the problems faced by the beneficiaries of real estate projects in the Al-Gwan suburb, north of Riyadh, whose contracts were signed in 2019, and implementation work began in March 2020, and is supposed to be ready in 2022, but it has not been completed on the ground. It caused harm to the beneficiaries, and demanded that they hold the negligent accountable for the delay in handing over their housing units.

One of the beneficiaries told Al-Ekhbariya correspondent, the first phase was supposed to be delivered in 2020, the second phase in 2021, and the third phase in 2022 with the completion of the entire project, but unfortunately we reached 2022 following two and a half years, even the houses of the first phase were not built 10 % .

And another added, I took this project as a dream for a quality of life, but now I don’t think of dreams, I just want a place to live.

And one of the affected people interrupted him. The houses were built using tunnel molds, and what we were told was that 80% of them would be built within a week.

In the same context, one of those affected said, they said, “We will deliver the house to you through the motor and run the generator for you. I am a home buyer, not a camp. How do you operate the motor?” I demand that the negligent person be held accountable, so I was affected by this issue, 65% of the salary was deducted and I did not live in, until this meeting my villa has not been received, even if it is received, there will be construction work in the project.

Another victim ended his speech by saying, We contacted the competent authorities to compensate 7% in the event of delay, as indicated in the contract. We have not received a response until this moment.
