For the seventeenth year o Citizens in Action association www.politesendrasei.gr in collaboration with Society for Social Action and Culture Community_Landscapes www.koinotopia.gr fulfill their promise to children of Merimna and organize it Carnival Party for their friends who are waiting for them like every year on such days so that they too can participate in the celebration of our city.
So her Thursday, February 29 in the followingnoon 5-8pm the children will have the pleasure of sharing the carnival atmosphere of the days with members and friends of Citizens in Action and Koino_Topia who will visit them at the Pedagogical Center of Patras “MERIMNA” with carnival costumes and lots of fun for dancing.
Participation in the action is open and to anyone who would like to give and receive selfless love, joy and big hugs. A necessary condition is the carnival costume, as much as everyone can, and optionally the offer of carnival elements to the children.

With the Therapeutic Pedagogical Center of Patras “MERIMNA” located in the area of the Nursing Home, the above clubs have a long-term collaboration that is not limited to the carnival.
The Therapeutic Pedagogical Center of Patras for People with Mental Retardation “I MERIMNA”, founded in 1969, is a Legal Entity under Private Law of a non-profit nature and is managed by a 7-member Board of Directors. Since 1998, it has been certified by the National Certification Center (E.O.P.E.P.) as a Specialized Vocational Training Center for People with Mental Retardation, while recently it also trains people suffering from pervasive developmental disorders. The original unit was built from the expenses of benefactors of the Patraiki society.
The purpose of the Center is the education, professional training and psychosocial support of the trainees. It is staffed with scientific staff (Pediatric Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Social Workers) and with educational and auxiliary staff.
