A 26-year-old woman lost her life after two blows to the neck with fragments of a glass bottle. The crime of homicide was committed by a young man — already detained — who refused to pay the amount of 20 thousand kwanzas to the victim after having sexual relations, according to the agreement they signed before the act.
The information was provided by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), in Luanda, which said that the crime took place in the municipality of Viana, where, last Sunday, December 3rd, the person involved was hanging out in a bar, and, on At that moment, he met the victim, who in life went by the name of Eugénia Mihata.
According to the director of the Institutional Communication and Press Office of SIC-Luanda, chief superintendent of criminal investigation Fernando Carvalho, the contact they maintained allowed the accused to agree with the failure to perform a sexual act at a cost of 20 thousand kwanzas. in favor of the victim.
“During the contact maintained, both agreed to have sexual involvement and, to do so, at the end of the act, he would have to pay the amount of 20 thousand kwanzas in favor of the victim”, said the SIC officer. Fernando Carvalho explained that, combined with practice, together they moved to an unfinished residence, on the outskirts of the space in which they were, where they consummated coitus. However, he added, upon finishing the act, the victim demanded payment of the monetary amount established in the agreement, a fact that led the person involved to present subterfuges that ended in physical attacks against the young woman.
“In the heat of the argument, the person involved took possession of a piece of bottle and struck two blows to the victim’s throat, an action that caused serious injuries, causing the victim to succumb there,” said the SIC spokesperson. Luanda, ensuring that the accused is in preventive detention. Measures carried out by SIC-Luanda, through the Department for Combating Crimes Against People, in coordination with the Municipal Directorate of Viana, allowed the arrest of the person involved and, subsequently, he was brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the judge of guarantee. Due to the incident, SIC advised youth to rely on dialogue as a means of solving any possible problem.
