Cities and intermunicipalities have numerous skills to implement to act on the well-being of children on a daily basis. Faced with the deterioration in the mental health of children and adolescents since Covid, the Unicef France offers “Child Friendly Cities” the opportunity to participate in a cycle of 4 workshops.
These workshops are open to all community agents, directly or indirectly concerned by the subject and keen to better understand the power of action of their service, its management and more broadly, their City.
– Workshop #1 Thursday March 28 morning: Promoting good mental health in children: action levers for cities
– Workshop #2 Wednesday April 10 morning : Local Mental Health Councils: a governance tool
– Workshop #3 Thursday May 23 morning: Destigmatizing mental health among young people
– Workshop #4 Tuesday June 4 morning:Taking the mental health of children and young people into account in your professional practice
Each workshop in the cycle will be an opportunity to discuss the multiple determinants on which cities and intercommunities can act to promote the good mental health of children and young people. Several experts and associations will participate in our discussion times, such as the CCOMS (Public Mental Health Establishment Lille-Métropole), the French Ville-Santé Network or Public Health France.
The workshops will also give pride of place to exchange around three axes:
Promote virtuous practices for the mental health of children and young people; Strengthen health prevention actions and systems; Promote access to care and structures available in their territory.
Unicef France also wishes to work to writing a Manifestoas a common thread throughout the workshops, so that all Child-Friendly Cities can speak with one voice “the appeal of Child Friendly Cities”.
