AFTER 10 years of not releasing any music together, The Virgin released a new album titled Full Circle as a symbol of celebrating 15 years of their career in the music industry.
According to a press release, quoted Wednesday (4/9), The Virgin chose Bimbi as the main song of their new album, which is now available on digital music streaming platforms such as Spotify and YouTube Music.
The song Bimbi, composed by Titiek Puspa, tells the story of a woman living away from home who becomes lost after discovering the life of a big city. The song was rearranged to suit The Virgin’s musical style.
“After trying it with Dara’s voice, it turned out (Bimbi) was a perfect fit, and this idea also came about because The Virgin’s two albums always had recycled singles of old hits,” said Mita, one of The Virgin’s personnel.
The Full Circle album contains eight selected songs, including Forbidden Love 2 (Belongs to My Friend), Until Later, Is He My Soulmate, Don’t Want to Replace Him, and Bimbi.
The album production involved Titiek Puspa, Hendy Irvan, and Mita and Dara The Virgin.
