Cipolletti athletes will compete in the grape harvest tournament in Mendoza

The municipality of Cipolletti reported that six members of the Cipolletti Running School will participate in the national competitions that will take place on March 18 and 19 on the Mendoza synthetic track, in the San Martín Park sports village.

He tournament it is organized by the sports department of UNCuyo, the sub-secretariat of sports of the province, the Mendoza Master Athletics Association (AMAM) and the Mendoza Athletics Association (AMA). The participating categories will be U14, U16, U18, U20, Seniors and Masters.

Florencia Baszczuk and Juan Francisco Guido will be present in the 100 and 200 meter dash. Malena Robanera will accompany them in the 200m but will be with Gabriel Bastías in the 400m. Tiziano Buzelli in 800, also Bastías, and Brisa Trecanao in 1500 and 800 m.

Coach Diego Pichipil explained that “the intention of this tournament is to start getting into the competition, taking into account that two weeks later we will have the first National. A good job was done, optimal in terms of time. They were all working during the summer.”

He added: “we have the Nacional U20 in Rosario and the U18 for Trecanao. The preparation was extensive. We expect a good year with good results and medals at the national level. We hope to be competitive and have a leading role in several categories”.
