ACTOR, model and talented singer Cinta Laura Kiehl has made another achievement by being selected as the 10th Communication Ambassador of the World Water Forum. In this case, Cinta Laura will invite the younger generation to care more regarding the environment, especially highlighting the importance of public participation in the management and use of the water policy sector.

This German-Indonesian woman said that water is an important resource for ensuring survival, so all levels of society must participate in protecting and preserving water so that it is protected from pollution and can continue to be used.

“There are many small things we can do to contribute to reducing water pollution. “For example, don’t waste water because there are so many of our friends out there who don’t have access to proper clean water,” explained Cinta Laura at the Music Concert entitled “Let’s Ngabuburit Ahead of the 10th World Water Forum” at the Pavilion. It is known that the 10th World Water Forum is the largest international meeting in the water sector in the world which has been held every three years since 1997. This year, 172 countries will be present in Bali, Indonesia as hosts next May to discuss various problems and potential water resources. for the world.

The election of Cinta Laura as the communications ambassador for the 10th World Water Forum was not without reason. Cinta is considered an outstanding public figure who has the ability to encourage the younger generation to care more regarding the environment.

Cinta explained that her presence at the event was her first opportunity. According to him, the international event which will be attended by the younger generation is a momentum to educate regarding real actions that can be taken to maintain water sustainability in daily activities. He will also provide some education in waste management which will have an impact on water sources.

“Apart from that, don’t throw away used bottles or rubbish carelessly. “Because in the end, these plastic bottles may end up in the water sources that people need and will contaminate the water they drink or use in their daily lives,” he explained.

Cinta further said that the threat of waste, especially plastic, might damage the preservation of clean water. Therefore, the existence of an international forum that brings together various groups and parties from various countries can be an effective means of communication in finding appropriate policy solutions to maintain clean water conservation.

“According to statistics, there are still approximately 190 million people who do not have access to adequate water, which is why forums like this are really needed so that people, especially the younger generation, understand that there are many easy steps they can take to mitigate this problem,” he added.

According to Cinta, other daily household activities such as washing with soap or detergent, if not done properly, can potentially pollute the environment. The 30-year-old woman said that people need to be more careful in choosing types of soap with ingredients that are more environmentally friendly and do not pollute the water sources used by the community.

“Finally, don’t shower for too long. Don’t do it because we want to feel fresher or we’re upset, then end up taking too long to shower and wasting a lot of water. “Let’s protect our water,” he appealed.

This woman, an alumna of Columbia University, New York, who is active in social activities, including the environment, also invites the younger generation to use social media as a tool to spread knowledge regarding preserving water.
