Johnny Cueto remains in free agency following passing through the Chicago White Sox and the cincinnati reds They are planning to meet with the Dominican to learn regarding his financial expectations for the 2023 season.
Cueto began his career in the Big leagues with the Reds in 2008, being in the organization for 8 years, earning an invitation to the All-Star Game and coming second in the National League Cy Young voting in 2014, being surpassed by Clayton Kershaw despite being the leader in strikeouts (242 ), starts (34) and innings pitched (243.2) that season.
The closeness between both parties might trigger an agreement, giving the Dominican the opportunity to finish his career in the majors with the same team with which he began his career in the instance.

Cueto went 8-10 with a 3.35 ERA, 102 strikeouts and 33 walks in 158.1 innings of work in 2022, making 24 starts for the White Sox.
