CIMB Niaga’s Sustainable Financing Reaches IDR 56.4 Trillion

CIMB Niaga recorded sustainable financing distribution in the first semester of 2024 of IDR 56.4 trillion, or almost 26% of total bank financing. This is in line with the spirit of #NowForTheFuture which is promoted in the series of events at The Cooler Earth Sustainability Series 2024.

Director of Compliance, Corporate Affairs & Legal CIMB Niaga Fransiska Oei said that this achievement was clear evidence of CIMB Niaga’s contribution to preserving the environment.

“We are not just pursuing profits, but also contributing to preserving the environment through various sustainable financing initiatives,” said Fransiska, quoted from a statement received on Wednesday (2/10).

The Cooler Earth Sustainability Series 2024 which will be held at Graha CIMB Niaga and Energy Building Jakarta, 2-4 October 2024, is part of CIMB Niaga’s 69th anniversary celebration. The event also included various interesting activities, such as exhibition, media gathering, and experiential learning which invites people to take real action in preserving the earth.

Apart from sustainable financing, CIMB Niaga also provides various themed products and services sustainabilityincluding the OCTO Card Digital Credit Card, Program One House One Treefinancing sustainability linked-loan (SLL) or sustainable finance (SF), as well as Giro Kartini.

Fransiska added that currently there needs to be concrete steps to overcome the impact of global warming which is also becoming increasingly evident. Therefore, CIMB Niaga wants to embrace various groups to work together to create a sustainable earth through The Cooler Earth Sustainability Series 2024.

“Through this event, CIMB Niaga hopes to inspire more people to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. Let’s start from ourselves and from small things to create a better future,” concluded Fransiska. (E-2)
