Some ten members of the “Carlos Pirela” gang are actively sought by the authorities, especially the Corps of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc).
The photos and data of each of the members were released by Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc through their social networks.
They operate mainly in Altagracia de Orituco, Tucupido and Zaraza in the state of Guárico. There they would dedicate themselves to the extortion of agricultural producers.
The modus operandi is to threaten the lives of ranchers, as well as their families or property. In order not to do so, they demand large sums of money, mainly in foreign currency.
About ten investigations weigh on them for: homicides, terrorism, extortion, robbery, vehicle theft and injuries, added Rico.
“We urge the community in general to provide any information that allows the prompt arrest of these criminals, therefore, I make my social networks and the telephone number (0412) 630.36.27 available,” Rico wrote.
He assured that there will be confidentiality in the complaint that is sent.
