It is not for fun that Erika Sjödin is called the rally cantor by those closest to her in Örnsköldsvik’s church.

In 2018, Monica Dominique came and inaugurated the wing where Erika was behind the purchase. An unforgettable performance, which was enhanced by the fact that the jazz pianist Åke Andersson sat in the audience and reconnected as Monica’s classmate at the music college.
This time it was Andreas Hellkvist on the Hammond organ who got in touch and then Erika was able to pick him and Monica in on Monday evening, July 8, in a well-filled church.

160 payers came, which was high above Erika’s expectations.

I have never witnessed such long and powerful applause in church, which came following every piece the duo played. Incomparable that 160 people might give such strong applause.

Monica Dominque (on the left) with her musical talent sits at the same wing she inaugurated in 2018. Andreas Hellqvist is a genius, who fits in well with slightly more difficult classical music. I thoroughly enjoyed when he played “Summer Song” from Wilhelm Peterson-Berger’s “Frösö Blomster”.
Carola Sjölind Westin held the evening service in a very lively and educational way by turning to Monica Dominque, who played twinkle little star, so it fit in perfectly.
Monica was so responsive and everything turned out very well.

After the musicians received gifts from Erika Sjödin, Carola Sjölind Westin gave out the blessing and as a postlude Monica Dominique played Monica Zetterlund’s “Sakta vi går denom stan”.
I was mainly hooked on Olle Adolphson’s “Trubbel” and Malta’s contribution to the melody festival in 1973 “Sommar’n som aldig sag nej”, where Monica & Karl-Axel Dominque created the music and Lars Forsell wrote the text.
According to Monica, interest in the song increased significantly, following Lars Forsell added “Your breasts are like swallows that nest” in the last minute.
