Universidad Católica de Murcia Club de Fútbol continues to take shape ahead of its league debut. This afternoon, Javi Motos’ boys have successfully completed a new pre-season test on the pitch of the BeSoccer La Condomina Stadium after beating (2-1) the Valencia CF reserve team with goals from Alexis and Amín.
The university team’s feelings are very positive and are further reinforced by a victory in front of their fans. In the 9th minute, Alexis showed his mischief to steal the ball in the opponent’s half and face the rival goalkeeper alone. The winger was not nervous and defined in a masterful way to make it 1-0 in this friendly.
With the score at 1-0, Javi Motos’ team continued to make things difficult for their opponents in the half, who were soon down 2-0. In the 18th minute, Ale Marín drove his marker crazy on the left wing and took a shot that was repelled by the Valencia goalkeeper. The rebound went straight to the boots of Amin, who took advantage of the opportunity to score his first goal in the blue and gold jersey.
After the break, Valencia Mestalla managed to reduce the deficit on the scoreboard in the 51st minute. However, Javi Motos’ team remained solid and continued to look for the ball to take control of the match.
During this period there were several positive news for the university team. The first was seeing Yeremy again. The full-back was unable to finish the last pre-season test after a hard blow to his knee, but today he was able to play more than twenty minutes on the pitch. Other great news was seeing the return of Luque. After 111 days since his last university match, the young attacker was back in action and added his first minutes of pre-season.
Also, under the gaze of his new fans, the central defender Miki Bosch made his debut in the UCAM Murcia CF shirt. The defender was very good on the pitch after having recently joined the group.
The first team will rest tomorrow, Sunday, and will return to work on Monday to prepare for a new week of preseason with two new tests on the horizon: Unión Atlético and UD Melilla.
