Chronic patients or those in emergency situations receive home medical services in Itapúa

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health highlights that medical personnel from the Family Health Unit of San Blas Independencia visit those who cannot travel to the unit. In this framework, a total of 10 chronic patients received control and follow-up in their homes.

This initiative of the medical team made up of Dr. Nadia Duarte and Lic. Susana Ramírez, carried out the control and follow-up in order to provide essential care to those with chronic diseases or in emergency situations.

This type of personalized care is key to maintaining the health and well-being of these patients, who require constant monitoring and adjustments to their treatments. Immediate care at home can be crucial to avoid further complications and provide peace of mind to patients and their families.

Ten influenza vaccinations were also administered, thus contributing to the prevention of additional diseases that might aggravate the conditions of chronic patients. Vaccination is a key tool in the public health strategy, especially for those with compromised immune systems,

In addition to monitoring and follow-up, two home emergencies were attended to, which demonstrates the team’s ability to respond to unforeseen situations, the health ministry reported.
