Keylor Navas lives one of his biggest challenges as a professional footballer. The Costa Rican goalkeeper Paris Saint-Germain has begun to play a secondary role in the team, since the DT, Christophe Galtier, decided to put as a starter throughout this campaign Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Galtier himself pointed out that Keylor Navas does not accept being the substitute at PSG, although he admitted that this is good for the club’s competition. He also added that he does not know if Keylor will remain on the team, but indicated that there have been talks regarding it.
“As far as Keylor agreeing to be number two, no, and that’s a good thing. Luckily, he doesn’t accept being number two. It’s hard for him. As for whether he will leave, I know there have been talks. In training he has shown how great a competitor he is ”he said at a press conference.
Praise Keylor’s professionalism
Galtier knows that this start of the season has not been easy for Keylor Navas, which is why he praised the level of the Costa Rican goalkeeper and his day-to-day commitment in training.
“I feel like Donarumma has evolved here and gotten better since he was named number one. Of course, it is more difficult for Keylor Navas, but in training he is doing very well”he pointed.
