As we have barely emerged from the heat wave, the Christmas trees are already installed in the window of a Meir store in Antwerp. This is a former clothing store, which will become the “It’s All About Christmas” store this fall.
According to information from HLN, the Dutch company specializing in the sale of Christmas products since the end of the 1980s is going to set up one of its stores on the Meir. “Too early for Christmas? We don’t think so,” responded company manager Raymond den Iseger. “We do a lot of online sales, but we also have physical stores. There are now ten. In the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany,” he adds.
The manager explains that they have decided to set up their new shop on the Meir. “That’s why you can already see our employees, in shorts, yes, at work,” says Raymond den Iseger. The store hopes to open its doors as early as the third week of September. “No, it’s not too early,” certifies the manager. “As summer draws to a close, people are cautiously beginning to yearn for the comforts of Christmas,” he adds.
