More than two million households will benefit from the Christmas bonus
Set up in France in 1998, the Christmas bonus will benefit more than two million households this year. So poured automatique on bank accounts from December 15, it offers a precious boost to the most financially fragile households. Depending on the case, this sum of money is paid by the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales or by the Mutualité Sociale Agricole. Namely, some job seekers may also receive a Christmas bonus.

This year, the amounts paid have not been reviewed. As in 2021, this bonus amounts to 152.45 euros. If the CAF and the MSA start the payments from December 15, the job center will only do so a few days later.
Who are the beneficiaries ?
We therefore distinguish two Christmas bonuses : that paid by CAF or MSA to RSA beneficiaries and that paid by Pôle Emploi to job seekers, under certain conditions. The eligible persons are therefore the beneficiaries of the RSA, the ASS, the ACRE, the AER as well as the beneficiaries of a training remuneration paid by Pôle emploi. This indemnity must follow a payment of ASS.
All persons eligible for the christmas bonus will automatically receive it in their bank account. There is therefore no no steps to take. You simply need to be eligible and registered with the CAF, the MSA or the Pôle Emploi. If you think you are a beneficiary and do not see anything coming, you will have to contact the organization responsible for paying you this compensation.
An amount that varies according to the family situation

The sum of 152.45 euros is a basic amount. It therefore varies according to the situation of each beneficiary. When Pôle Emploi pays this bonus, it remains unchanged regardless of the beneficiary’s situation. On the other hand, for those who depend on other organizations, it takes into account ceilings. More precisely, the amount awarded varies according to the family situation of each one. Thus, a single person without children will receive 152.45 euros while a couple will be entitled to 228.67 euros. These amounts increase to 228.67 euros and 274.41 euros with a child. With two children, they reach 274.41 euros and 320.14 euros…
Today, we know the official dates of the payments of the famous Christmas bonus. They will take place from December 15 for the bonus paid by CAF and MSA and from December 16 for Pôle Emploi. Of course, not all beneficiaries will receive this aid on the same day because processing times vary from one bank to another, just as the payment date changes from one organization to another.
Namely: all those who have benefited RSA for the first time in December 2022 will receive the Christmas bonus. But it will only be paid at the beginning of January 2023 due to the delay in processing files.
