In the pages of the text that reveals the secrets of Christian Pulisic, the American recounts that in the second leg played at Stamford Bridge he felt annoyed and disappointed with the German coach Thomas Tuchel, Well, he did not keep his word to line him up as a starter in the second leg after scoring in the first game of the semifinals.
“What happened before that game was very disappointing for me. I had a very good performance in the first leg and our next game was against Fulham in the Premier League. Tuchel told me that he was giving me rest for the second leg and as a result I didn’t play a single minute against Fulham. Then on the day of the semifinal match, Tuchel tells me that he changed his mind and goes with Kai Havertz. Honestly I was shocked and very disappointed. I thought I had earned start. And most importantly, he had previously assured me that he was going to start”, revealed Pulisic.
Tuchel-Pulisic a relationship that became tense over time
Despite achieving important performances with the Chelsea shirt under the command of Thomas Tuchel, Pulisic failed to find the full confidence of the German coach and proof of this were the last months until the dismissal of the former coach of Borussia Dortmund and PSG.
