Rögle’s former sporting director Chris Abbott is ready for HV71, where he will become General Manager. The club signs it its website.
Rögle icon Chris Abbott was the sporting director of RBK from autumn 2017 until December 2023, when he and his brother Cam (coach) were fired.
Now Chris returns to HV71, where he finished his playing career in 2016-17 and then had a role supporting the coaches in J20 and J18.
– In Chris, we get an incredibly serious leader who is also very skilled at building successful teams. He will clarify the common thread throughout our elite operations and with his experience and leadership style give us a stable foundation to stand on, says Andreas Davidsson, acting chairman of HV71.
– A great honor to be back and I have many good memories from my years in the team and the city. I look forward to being a part of this organization again, with all the fans and sponsors who support the team in all situations, says Abbott.
