Chongqing Municipality’s Economic Goals for 2024 – Mayor Hu Henghua’s Report

CHONGQING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) — A meeting of the People’s Council of Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality was held on Sunday (Jan. 21). It said Chongqing aims for gross domestic product (GDP) growth of regarding 6 percent in 2024.

Hu Henghua, Mayor of Chongqing Said while presenting the government performance report that Chongqing also aims to increase the added value of large industrial clusters by 7 percent, increase investment in fixed assets by 4 percent and increase general public budget revenue by 6 percent, while limiting the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to an increase of regarding 100 percent. 3 each

Chongqing’s GDP was 3.01 trillion yuan (regarding 15.18 trillion U.S. dollars) last year, up 6.1 percent year on year. Making it the 4th city in China with GDP exceeding 3 trillion yuan (regarding 15.13 trillion baht) in terms of regional GDP.
