Fridolfing – On Thursday, October 6th, 2022, from 7 p.m., there will be a lecture on the subject of cholesterol – origin, prevention and risks, in the cafeteria of the Salzach Clinic in Fridolfing.
Cholesterol is one of the so-called dietary fats and is a vital substance for our body. It serves as a building block in the formation of hormones, bile acids and vitamin D. Most cholesterol is produced by the body itself – mainly in the liver. A smaller portion is ingested through food. Excessive cholesterol intake increases the cholesterol level in the blood. It becomes harmful to health when the delicate balance between the formation and breakdown of cholesterol is disturbed.
But how can cholesterol intake be influenced and what is the risk if my cholesterol levels are elevated? dr In her lecture, Jutta Krahmer, an experienced doctor specializing in internal medicine and cardiologist, will go into detail regarding how cholesterol develops, how it can be prevented, as well as the risks of elevated values and treatment options.
Bring your questions with you. Those affected, relatives and those interested are welcome in the barrier-free cafeteria of the Salzach Clinic. You don’t have to register. Just come over. Admission is free.
