Singer Yena Choi’s new song ‘Hate Rodrigo’ has been embroiled in a controversy over stealing the concept of American pop star Olivia Rodrigo.
On the 29th, Yuehua Entertainment, the agency, made the music video for this song private and said, “We found that some scenes in the music video may have infringed on trademark rights, portrait rights, and copyrights, and we are currently editing the video. The music video will be posted again soon.”
It is known that in some scenes of the music video for this song, which is said to contain homage and admiration for pop singer Rodrigo, photos of Rodrigo’s face appear.
However, regarding some reports that this action was made at the request of Rodrigo, the party, he said that it was “unfounded.”
Yuehua Entertainment added, “We have not received any related requests from Rodrigo, and we hope that unconfirmed reports will not cause misunderstandings between artists and fans.”
The title song ‘Hate Rodrigo’ of Choi Yena’s second single ‘Hate XX’, released on the 27th, is a song depicting cute jealousy and longing for the object of envy.
