In the middle of the stands, some sell jam, fruit jellies, pastries, dishes from Madagascar, or even special champagne, flavored with hazelnuts and chocolate.

A somewhat special parade

A highlight marked the day of this Saturday, October 28: the parade of chocolate dresses. Each artisan presents a dress decorated with elements reminiscent of candy. Behind the scenes, it’s time for final touches. “I’m the little hand we don’t talk regarding. But that suits me, I prefer to stay in the shadows,” confides the wife of a chocolatier, a few minutes before the start of the parade. When it finally starts, volunteer models follow one another, wearing pieces from the different chocolatiers.

Accompanied by the chocolatiers, volunteer models paraded wearing chocolate dresses.

Visitors won over

Theo is 16 years old. This young man in CAP pastry came from Charente-Maritime especially for the occasion. “It gives me cake ideas!” », he enthuses. Behind him, his parents, Arnaud and Jessica, are also enjoying the living room. “We tasted the champagne, and it was very surprising,” says Théo’s mother.

Céline, who lives in the Pyrenees, stopped off on her vacation route and found herself at the Salon du chocolat. “I’m a real foodie so I’m delighted. And then, the cause is beautiful. »
