Former Minister of Justice Cho Kook and his wife, who are on trial for corruption in their children’s entrance examination and allegations of ignoring the Blue House inspection, said, “We will start from scratch.”
On the 23rd, former Minister Cho said, “It is unusual for a defendant to express his position on the indictment outside the courtroom, but he respects the prosecution’s request and expresses his position.”
“Our children gave up and returned all of their degrees and qualifications and withdrew related lawsuits, which caused legal and social controversy, so we decided to abandon everything and start from scratch as a way of self-reflection,” he said.
He added, “We will honestly reveal and explain at the court hearing what the process of writing, issuing, and submitting the problematic documents was, and how each parent was involved in this process.”
