Chip promotion on Animal Day at Animal Ambulance Kennemerland

BEVERWIJK / HEEMSKERK / VELSEN – On Animal Day, Friday October 4, the Kennemerland Animal Ambulance organizes the annual chip campaign in collaboration with the municipalities of Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Velsen. All residents of these municipalities can have their pets (except dogs) chipped at a greatly reduced rate. Normally €20, now with animal day for €10)

Every year, tens of thousands of cats, dogs and other pets run away in the Netherlands. Many of these pets never return home. These animals often end up in a shelter. But others remain on the streets for long periods of time because no one knows who they belong to. This makes finding their home almost impossible.

With a registered chip, your pet can always be traced back to your home. If your lost pet is found, it is often very easy to find the owner if the animal is microchipped. Chipping is relatively painless and can be compared to, for example, a vaccination.

How does it work? The employees of the Animal Ambulance show it to Grandpa Job from Theater Poppekus:

The chipping takes place between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm at the Kennemerland Animal Ambulance at Kleine Houtweg 35, Heemskerk. You only pay € 10 per chip (including registration), the municipality will reimburse the other costs. Making an appointment is allowed, but is not necessary. More information can be found at
