Chinese state media, “plan to expand aircraft operations to the US”

State TV reported on the 11th that the Chinese government plans to allow planes bound for the United States to fly more routes following the lifting of travel restrictions.

It added that civil aviation regulators would consult with US authorities “to promote a smooth resumption of air operations” between China and the US. However, no specific timetable was mentioned.

Forty airlines from the United States, China and other countries have applied for 700 flights per week from China to 34 countries, China Central Television said on its website.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, China has suspended most types of travel transport, including flights to and from China. However, on December 7 of last year, most of the movement restrictions were lifted while dramatically changing the principles of corona prevention.

On the 8th, entrants from airplanes whose quarantine obligations were removed after arriving at the airport entered China for the first time.
