The competition of the four slope slalom events on the day was carried out in two ways to get the best result. In the first skating, Chinese players ranked first in all four events. Wu Zhongwei led the men’s slope slalom LL1 first round with 1:11.92, 0.16 seconds ahead of the second place. The second slide was played in reverse order of the first slide. The second-ranked Dutch player Chris Foss only advanced his score by 0.02 seconds, which also means that Wu Zhongwei has won the championship ahead of schedule.
Despite this, Wu Zhongwei still did his best in the last slip, set his own score with 1:10.85, and won the championship without controversy.
“I just want to surpass myself.” Wu Zhongwei said, “The coach has already told me above, you have locked in the first place now, and I want to surpass myself.”
Soon following Wu Zhongwei won the championship, teammate Sun Qi won the gold medal in the men’s slope slalom LL2 competition. Although ranked second in the second slide, Sun Qi’s first slide of 1:9.73 was unsurpassed.
“Of course 100 points.” Sun Qi scored himself following the game. After the game, he looked up at the sky for a long time. When asked regarding his mental activity at the time, he said: “There were four big words in my heart at that time – ‘I did it’.”

In the men’s obstacle pursuit LL2 competition held on the 7th, Sun Qi missed the podium and ranked fourth.
“It’s a pity that I braked my bike before jumping on the platform,” he said, “but it took me almost two hours to put this regret aside and prepare for our competition. I have won the World Cup before in this one. No. 1, No. 1 in the World Championships, I didn’t expect to be No. 1 on such a big stage of the Winter Paralympics, I am especially proud of myself.”
After the two gold medals that day, the Chinese Paralympic Snowboard Team has achieved 3 golds, 3 silvers and 4 bronzes in this Winter Paralympic Games.
Ji Lijia, who had previously won gold in the men’s obstacle course UL competition, won the silver medal in the slope slalom UL competition, Zhu Yonggang won the third place, and the gold medal was won by France’s Maxime Montaggioni.
