In China, scientists revealed that the extremely powerful radiotelescopio Sky Eye would have captured possible technological traces of “
extraterrestrial civilizations
”. This is the second time this device has received such signals.

In its report, that media outlet detailed that the Sky Eye captured “various narrowband electromagnetic signals different from those previously identified“.
According to scientists, this is the second time that the radio telescope has received possible extraterrestrial signals. The first occurred in 2019.
However, the specialists also indicated that these waves could also be radio interference.
“The possibility that the suspicious signal is some kind of radio interference is also very high and needs to be further confirmed and ruled out,” said Zhang Tongjie, a cosmologist.
The Sky Eye, located in China’s Guizhou province, is the most massive and sensitive aperture radio telescope in the world. The device, which was designed to search for life on other planets, cost $171 million.
