Chinese President arrived in Russia to meet Putin

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on a three-day visit to Russia, where he received a warm welcome.

According to the World News Agency, upon the arrival of President Xi Jinping, the military band played the anthems of China and Russia, while a bilateral meeting between the presidents of China and Russia is expected sometime today.

This is Xi Jinping’s first trip abroad after being elected as the president for the third consecutive term, who has emerged as China’s most powerful leader. Which shows their strong ties with Russia.

Speaking to the media at the time of his departure to Russia, the Chinese president expressed his belief that the visit to Russia will be beneficial and the relations and trade between the two countries will further accelerate.

On the other hand, Russia described the visit to China as a help to a powerful friend in a difficult time and said that the two leaders will sign a joint declaration of Russia-China economic cooperation by 2030.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also vowed to use his relationship and influence with the Russian president to end the war in Ukraine and bring peace to the region.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that China would support him against Western pressure on the Ukraine war and raise his voice against Western sanctions against Russia.

It should be noted that after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin for sending Ukrainian children to Russia, Chinese President Xi Jinping is the first head of a country to meet the Russian president.
