London: When the British Queen’s body was buried in the casket placed in Parliament for public viewing, Chinese representatives were reportedly banned. This was reported by BBC.

Some British MPs expressed concern when the Chinese delegation was invited to participate in the Queen’s funeral. Pointing out this, it was demanded that the Chinese delegation should not be allowed into the Parliament.

The Parliament Speaker refused to comment on the incident. The House of Commons also stated that it would not respond citing security reasons. The spokesperson of Prime Minister Liz Truss said that facilities have been arranged for the representatives of the countries that have diplomatic relations with Britain to pay their last respects to the Queen’s body and this is being led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Last year, the Chinese ambassador was stopped from participating in a function held in the British Parliament. It was following China imposed sanctions on British MPs.
