Taipei: After US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, China warned by deploying fighter jets. International media reports that more than 20 Chinese warplanes crossed Taiwan’s air defense zone and caused a stir.
Taiwan has issued an urgent order to its own troops to be on combat alert. The US has also signaled a counterattack by deploying four warships in the region along the border.
Chinese foreign spokesperson Hua Chunying tweeted that the US is the biggest challenge to world peace. The US has made 1.4 billion Chinese citizens enemies. The Chinese spokesman warned that this move by the US to challenge China will not end well.
Making themselves an enemy of the 1.4 billion Chinese people will not end up well. Acting like a bully in front of the whole world will only make everyone see that the US is the biggest danger to world peace.

China’s position is that the arrival of the American representative in Taiwan is unacceptable. Pelosi landed in Taiwan on Tuesday night and will hold talks with the president on Wednesday. It is the first time a senior US leader has visited Taiwan in a quarter century.
Our delegation’s visit to Taiwan honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant Democracy.
Our discussions with Taiwan leadership reaffirm our support for our partner & promote our shared interests, including advancing a free & open Indo-Pacific region.
