BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) — Sales of Chinese brand passenger vehicles increased 22.2 percent year-on-year in the first 10 months of the year to nearly 11.43 million units, according to industry data.
The market share of these vehicles reached 55.3% during this period, 6.6 percentage points higher than during the same period in 2022, according to the China Automobile Manufacturers Association.
In October alone, regarding 1.49 million domestic brand passenger vehicles were sold in China, an increase of 25.1 percent year on year.
These sales accounted for 59.7 percent of the country’s total passenger vehicle sales last month, an increase of 6.6 percentage points year-on-year, the data showed. END
