China’s ‘Tianyuan-1’ completes scientific exploration mission – Companion Today

[동포투데이 김현나 기자] According to the State Administration of Port and Heaven of China, the Chinese spacecraft ‘Tianyuan 1’ flew normally for 706 days until June 29, securing high-resolution image data covering the entire Mars, and the science payload explored the entire Mars.

Both the ‘Tianyuan-1’ orbiter and the probe performed a set scientific expedition.

Tianyuan-1 was launched on July 23, 2020. After 475 million kilometers of space flight in 202 days, the spacecraft successfully entered Mars orbit on February 10, 2021. After three months of close inspection of the next landing site, it succeeded in landing on Mars on May 15, 2021. On May 22, the Kowloon spacecraft successfully landed on the surface of Mars and began exploration.

On August 15, 2021, Jurong successfully completed its mission to Mars for approximately 90 Mars days (1 Mars day = 24 hours and 37 minutes to Earth) and continues its extended exploration missions, reaching 1,921.5 meters from the surface of Mars. has moved Due to the winter cold and yellow dust in the landing area, the Hwaseong car went into winter dormancy on May 18, 2022 depending on the design state, and will resume normal operation around December 2022 when environmental conditions improve.

Meanwhile, the orbiter that circled the Mars world 1344 times is now in a normal state. Afterwards, remote sensing will be continuously performed and extended technology experiments will be selected to conduct prior technical verification of related tasks.
