China’s Vice Foreign Minister Sun Wei-dong summoned Japanese Ambassador to China Hideo Taru on the 22nd, and the Japanese government will start releasing the treated water stored at the Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (HD) Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the ocean on the 24th. He expressed concern about the policy and conveyed his strong opposition to it. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement.
