China continued to increase spending on cloud infrastructure services in the first quarter of this year, according to a report by technology market research firm Canalys.
Canalys said such expenditures in mainland China amounted to 7.7 billion US dollars in the first three months, up 6 percent from a year ago.
The report stated that the country’s expenditures represent 12 percent of the total expenditures in the world.
The report added that the market leaders in China remained unchanged in the first quarter, with the four largest cloud service providers being Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Tencent Cloud and Baidu AI Cloud.
Canales added that the aforementioned four account for 97 percent of total expenditures in China.
