China’s Sichuan earthquake death toll rises to 65 12 missing

According to reports, 65 people were killed, 12 people were missing and 248 people were injured in the earthquake.

The only road connected to the outside was cut off due to a landslide, and more than 200 people staying at Hailugou Glacier Forest Park were isolated.

In Luding County alone, 249 buildings including houses collapsed, 13,500 buildings were damaged, and 7 hydroelectric power plants were tentatively counted, but the damage is expected to increase further.

After a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzijiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at 12:52 PM the day before, there were 10 followingshocks with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater until 6 am on the same day.

Sichuan Province sent 6,500 rescue teams to the area to help the victims.
