CHINA, which has shut ties with Russia and North Korea, has “welcomed” the assembly between President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un.
Putin visited China a month in the past, when he declared he and China’s Xi Jinping had been “as shut as brothers.”
Responding to questions on Putin’s go to to Pyongyang, China’s international ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, mentioned Beijing “welcomes Russia to strengthen and develop ties with nations with which it has conventional friendship.”
This morning, state media World Instances ran an article quoting Chinese language analysts as saying it was a “rational selection” for Moscow and Pyongyang to get nearer.
