China’s Merchandise Imports and Exports: 0.4% Rise in 2021, Latest Data Reveals | Top News

BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) — China’s total merchandise imports and exports rose 0.4 percent year on year in yuan terms to 23.55 trillion yuan (regarding 3.29 trillion U.S. dollars) between January and July this year, according to official data released on Tuesday.

Exports rose 1.5 percent year on year to 13.47 trillion yuan, while imports fell 1.1 percent to 10.08 trillion yuan, according to the General Administration of Customs.

In July, foreign trade fell 8.3 percent year on year, the data showed. END
