China’s largest SUV maker records volume growth in June

Shijiazhuang, July 10, 2022 (Xinhua) Great Wall Motor (GWM), the largest maker of SUVs and pickup trucks in China, recorded a 26.38 percent increase in vehicle sales month-on-month to 101,186 units in June, including sales of 13,451 cars in foreign markets.

In the first half of this year, the company sold a total of 518,525 cars, of which 62,823 were foreign sales, accounting for 12 percent of the total, and the company’s total overseas sales exceeded one million cars.

The company indicated that with the improvement of the Covid-19 situation, and the resumption of work in the supply chain, the Great Wall Motor Company launched several new electric and smart cars, which contributed to an increase in sales in the second quarter.

Great Wall Motor is headquartered in Baoding City, North China’s Hebei Province, and owns several automobile brands, including HAVAL, GWM Pickup, WEY and ORA.
