In the perception layer, network layer, platform layer and application layer of the Internet of Things industry, 59, 7, 8 and 94 new species companies have emerged respectively. In terms of track distribution, 168 Chinese IoT new species companies are distributed in 32 tracks including AISoC chips, communication chips, satellite communications, cloud services, collaborative robots, and warehousing and logistics robots. Among them, 52 of the 59 new species companies in the perception layer are in the chip field; 7 new species companies in the network layer are working on two new tracks: satellite and 5G communications; and 8 new species companies in the platform layer focus on cloud services. The five cities of “North, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiguang” are the five major gathering places for new IoT species companies, with 113 new IoT species companies, accounting for 67.3% of the total number of new IoT species companies in China in 2022. The report shows that in 2022, the total valuation of China’s IoT unicorn companies will exceed US$120 billion, with the average valuation reaching US$2.51 billion. New species enterprises have gradually become new driving forces and new growth points in the field of Internet of Things under new economic conditions.
