China’s electronic information manufacturing recorded steady expansion in April, with the added value of major companies in the sector rising 1.8 percent year on year, official data showed.
In the first four months of the year, the added value of major electronic information manufacturing enterprises fell 0.4 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
This decline has eased compared to the 1.1% decline recorded during the January-March period.
During the January-April period, the sector’s investment in fixed assets increased by 14.2% year on year, or 5.9 percentage points more than the rate for all industries during this period, according to the data.
Major electronic information manufacturing enterprises in China are those whose annual revenue from core business reaches at least 20 million yuan (regarding $2.82 million).
