Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has said that thanks to the recent agreements between Pakistan and China, a new chapter will be added to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project and Pakistan will take vigorous steps to implement these agreements.
According to the official news agency APP, the caretaker prime minister while talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong on Wednesday said that China’s Belt and Road Initiative is the guarantee of the development and prosperity of the entire region.
On this occasion, the caretaker Prime Minister also thanked the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership for the warm welcome and wonderful arrangements during his recent visit to China.
He said that the MoUs and agreements signed during the recent visit to China and Pakistan will take vigorous steps to implement them.
He said that the friendship between China and Pakistan is higher than the towering mountains and deeper than the deep seas and thanks to the recent agreements between the two countries, a new chapter will be added to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the people of both countries are benefiting from the fruits of Pakistan-China Economic Corridor project.
The Chinese ambassador assured the prime minister of China’s full cooperation in the development and economic stability of Pakistan.
It may be recalled that the caretaker Prime Minister visited China last week for a five-day visit and during this time he participated in the ‘Third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation’ held in Beijing and also held talks with China. Important agreements and memorandums of understanding were also signed.
During the visit, 20 agreements were signed between Pakistan and China related to currency swap, establishment of a research station on the South Pole of the Moon, among others.
Among the agreements signed are year-round activation of the Khanjarab border, coordination on the Afghan issue, closer trust and coordination between the armed forces, peace talks between Palestine and Israel, currency swaps, partnership in establishing a research station at the South Pole of the Moon. , infrastructure, mining, green and low-carbon developments, health, digital economy, development cooperation and exports of agricultural products to China were covered.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China is willing to strengthen cooperation and express solidarity with Pakistan in various fields, but urged Pakistan to ensure the safety of Chinese institutions and Chinese nationals working in them. .
