China retaliated against the slanderous statements made to it during the session of the Human Rights Council

During the general debates of the UN Human Rights Council on March 22, China’s representative strongly retaliated once morest the slanderous statements of Western states and exposed the gaps in the field of human rights.

China prioritizes the interests of the people and the constitutional principle that “the state respects and protects human rights.” It also takes into account the well-being of over 1.4 billion Chinese people as the most important human right and promotes the development of human rights following the path of Chinese modernization.

China pointed out that some countries, for political reasons, created and propagated false information, raised issues regarding China in the Human Rights Council, and tried to attack and defame China by suppressing development. These attempts are doomed to failure. About 100 countries have clearly expressed their support for China in the Human Rights Council in various ways on issues related to Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong.

In the 51st session of the Human Rights Council, the draft resolution related to Xinjiang was strongly rejected, which fully demonstrates the position of the international community.
