FuChina has reimposed a ban on seafood from Japan following reports that sewage from the Kushima nuclear power plant will be released into the ocean from October 5. Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant went down following the 2011 tsunami. Tokyo Electric Power says the 1.34 million tons of wastewater that accumulated at the plant following the tsunami has been filtered for all radioactive elements except for safe levels of tritium and released into the Pacific.
