The Asian Football Confederation announced on the 16th that because the North Korean team was unable to participate in the 2022 U17 and U20 Women’s World Cup, the Chinese team made up the qualifications for the U17 Women’s World Cup, and the Australian team will replace the North Korean team in the U20 Women’s World Cup.
The AFC said that the Chinese team, which won the third place in the 2019 AFC U16 Women’s Football Championship, will represent Asia in the U17 Women’s World Cup to be held from October 11 to 30 this year, together with the Japanese team and the host India team.
Australia will replace North Korea and join Japan and South Korea in the 2022 Costa Rica U20 Women’s World Cup, which will take place from August 10 to 28.
