CHINA Open 2024 enters the second round which will take place on Thursday (19/9). There are six Indonesian representatives who will appear in the event.
The second round will start at 08.00 WIB. In the men’s singles, Indonesia still has Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie. Anthony is scheduled to face top seed Shi Yuqi from China. Meanwhile, Jonatan will face French representative Toma Junior Popov.
Next in the men’s doubles, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin will also face the host pair who are also the top seeds, namely Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang.
Another men’s doubles pair, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana will compete for a place in the quarter-finals with Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. The pair from Denmark are the second seeds.
Fajar Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto are also still in China. They, who appeared as the fourth seeds, were challenged by the unseeded pair Andreas Sondergaard/Jesper Toft from Denmark.
Lastly, in the mixed doubles, Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja will be the first to appear from the other 5 Red and White representatives. They are scheduled to fight with the Malaysian pair Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei. (Z-6)
